What colour should your exhibition stand be?

When you are exhibiting at a tradeshow you want to make sure that your exhibition stand is as noticeable as possible. There are many techniques that experienced exhibitors use in order to ensure that their stand is the one that people spend time at and the one that really stands out.

One of the first areas that you will want to consider in your exhibition design is the colour of your stand and the behaviour that this will prompt from potential customers. All colours have a psychology attached to them and prompt a certain natural reaction that is completely instinctual and cannot be changed or avoided. Working with this natural reaction can help to make sure that your stand receives the attention that your business deserves. Below we have noted some great colours to use for your stand and the exact effect they will have:

Blue is a very calming colour that is very soothing and attractive to the human eye, this makes it the perfect colour to attract people to your stand. Blue has been proven to lower the heart rate and decrease stress, this makes sure that when people arrive at your stand they are calm and ready to receive the information that you are giving out. There are thousands of shades of blue available and many even consider it good practice to incorporate a few different shades in order to appeal to as many people as possible.

Red in all of its many shades is a very physical and exciting colour that increases motor skills and decreases inhibition levels. There is a good reason that many sales staff in all sorts of establishments wear red clothing, it is a very friendly and open colour that actively encourages people to interact with them. Using red highlights on the more interactive parts of your exhibition stand can help to make sure that people spend extended amounts of time.

Purple is widely accepted as being an intellectual colour that prompts further contemplation and thought. A great way to utilise the colour is to make any material that you give away purple, this inherently attractive and thought provoking colour will make sure that your informative leaflets are kept and read over after customers have let your stand.

Here at Rap we fully understand that making a lasting impression and a statement with an exhibition stand may seem a little daunting. However to ensure you make the right decisions we can work alongside you to create a perfect stand, ideal for you and your image.

Get the stand you want

An exhibition stand can be many things, it can be formal, intimate a fun space or an open one. It all depends on what you want and need your stand to be. In order to get the stand that meets your needs it’s important to be clear on your brief, and here at Rap we have outlined some steps that will help you get the best design and stand that you want.

If you’re looking to replace an old and tired exhibition stand with a new one, then take a look at your old stand and have a think about what it is that you do like, what aspects worked well for you and look for ways in which you can improve these. You don’t want to be recreating the same problems in your new stand. Consider the colours in which you are using, and do some research prior to designing your new stand. Colours are extremely powerful! Colours have different meanings and evoke different emotions, so pick carefully.

Think about things that you want your new stand to include as well as what you don’t want. Many people find it surprisingly difficult to convey visual concepts through written language. What you think of when you say “modern” or maybe “fresh” may vary greatly from another person’s concept. However they do say, a picture paints a thousand words, so thinking about your imagery is a great place to start. These might be pictures which you find inspiring, and reflect the message in which you want to convey on your stand.

Another thing to consider is the flexibility of your stand, and ease of transportation – depending on what you are wanting to use your stand for. At Rap our stands vary in size, and some stands are more suited for say exhibitions rather than your reception area. However our stands regardless of purpose are designed to be used time and time again.

Whatever you are looking for, here at Rap we are dedicated to making sure that you get what you want from your stand. Take a look at what we have to offer here: http://bit.ly/1LCNEpA and don’t hesitate to contact us on 01733 394941 should you require any further assistance.

Rap’s Workshop- Interview with Accounts

Today we feature Junior Jones Eyre, a member of our accounts team who ensures Rap Industries is always running smoothly throughout the year.

Rap Industries

What do you do on a day to day basis here at Rap Industries?

“I handle the day to day running of the accounts including invoicing, ledgering, bank reconciliation as well as my new role as human resources. This includes keeping on top of the correct procedures, policies that we need to comply with and creating the correct packs for interviews, new starters etc.”

What is the most enjoyable part about working at Rap Industries?

“The best and most satisfying part of my job is when the quarterly VAT return and Annual Year End is complete as it is a massive weight off my shoulders… temporarily. I also like that Human Resources is now taking off at Rap Industries, it is very satisfying knowing that we now have a department in place to make sure everything is running smoothly and efficiently.”

What has been the most exciting/satisfying thing to happen during your time here?

“I think the most exciting thing that has happened is the new turnover of staff we now have. Now we have a variety of people in the company which is very different to the 7/8 people we had in the office when I first started four and a half years ago. The most interesting thing for me is the way the company has grown, we now have mezzanine floors in the factory and a new extension which gave the office a much needed uplift.”

How do you like to celebrate Christmas every year?

“I like to celebrate Christmas with a few drinks over the festive period with family and friends, enjoy the time off work ready for another year ahead and the busy footballing schedule over the holidays which always includes watching Peterborough United home and away.”

What is the best part about Christmas for you?

“The best part of Christmas for me used to be seeing everyone happy on Christmas day, the feeling that when you wake up it just doesn’t feel like a normal day. This year I know that the best part for me will be the fact it’ll be my little girl, Ava-Mae’s first Christmas, so seeing her trying to open her presents, be overwhelmed by everything around her and to see her smiling will make my day.”

What was your favourite Christmas present as a kid?

“My favourite Christmas present when I was growing up was anything football related as well as a Playstation. When I was very little my favourite was a white teddy bear that was called ‘Snowy’. He was everywhere, never left my side and there was even a video of me waiting by the washing machine because he needed a clean, with my head spinning around, not taking my eyes off of snowy. I still have him now so hopefully Ava-Mae will enjoy him as much as I did.”

Rap’s Workshop- Interview with Engineering

Today we feature Pete Marcotto who is a member of our engineering team. Pete is responsible for the early stages of crafting orders such as welding frames as well as pressing panel and screen cores.

Rap Industries

What do you do on a day to day basis here at Rap Industries?

“I work in the engineering department which means I mainly work in welding and fabrication of display boards and partition screens. Most of what I do is to cut and create the metal frames to fit the display boards. I also do fabrication which is applying the customers chosen material to the boards.”

What is the best part of your job?

“The part I enjoy most about working here is being left to my own devices and getting on with the work I have to do. I’m quite happy knowing what work I have for the day and getting on with it.”

What has been the most exciting thingto happen during your time here?

“The most interesting part about working here is after I produce parts in the very early stages, I can see them being added to the finished product later on. I find it really satisfying and it is a good feeling to get the job done properly.”

How do you like to celebrate Christmas?

“I like to have a quiet Christmas, getting some down time and spending time with my partner. I’m looking forward to just relaxing this Christmas in England. Usually we travel to America spend Christmas with her extended family in Colorado Springs on a house on the lake but with over 30 people there it can get quite hectic.”

What was your favourite Christmas present as a child?

“Best present I got when I was a kid was my first bike, a Raleigh Tomahawk when I was 5 years old. It was the big craze then with its chopper design which stood out against others. I loved the retro style and relaxed feel of the bike in particular.”

Make your product launch a success

Trade shows, events and exhibitions are a great place to launch a new product. Why? Your target audience will be there, your competitors will be there and not to mention the press! And with the press attending there is a high chance your new product launch will be printed in your local newspaper and quite possibly mentioned on the web. And of course by hitting the press you will be reaping the rewards from free advertisement.

Of course if you are an experienced event attendee, then you will understand the importance of pre-planning your event. There is a fair few things to be considered prior to your event to really maximise the results. So in order to reach your target audience and with the chance of hitting the press here are some important things which you need to consider prior to your product launch to make it a success:

Consider a special outline for your product launch. So this may include your content during the launch. Giveaways or leaflets that include information about your new product. The best way to get this information is by asking yourself questions, such as: What do our customers need to know about this product? How can you present this in a clear manor? Can you use technology perhaps to relay this information when you’re presenting? Don’t forget to add a testimonial section, these work wonders when it comes to convincing your audience to buy your product.

Prior to your event you could hold a product demonstration. These are fantastic at showing people how beneficial your product is. If your leaflet is interesting enough, your audience may take a look. But these two combined work better. People love to witness how things work, and by holding a demonstration prior to your launch you’re getting people to love your product in anticipation of its arrival.

Promote your product prior to your launch. These two things are not the same. By promoting your new product you can reach out to your audience before its launch date. Attract the attention of the crowd by promoting your product with a printed display stand from us here at Rap. We can help you display your look, in both its appearance and its stature. From your imagery through to the size of your display we can cover all areas to get you noticed prior to your launch. There is no better way to kick start your product launch with the use of one of our printed display panels. Take a look at our range here: http://bit.ly/1SWSWxR with prices starting from as little as £58.00 our in-house team can provide you with the best quality and most practical display which will leave your audience wanting more.

“The best part of Christmas for me is the gift giving, especially gifts that have a special meaning. Also both me and my son share birthday’s on a similar date so it’s a double celebration. I love Christmas for the proper reasons – spending time with family and seeing them happy as well as seeing my grandkids grow up as well.”

What was your favourite Christmas present while you were growing up?

“It has to be my first bike, we didn’t get as many presents back then so it was extra special.”

New Year, new you – Get yourself noticed

A new year always brings new hopes and dreams, a way of wiping the slate clean and renewing our faith in a product, service or a brand and creating that bit of magic when it comes to presenting yourself. So if you are looking for new ways to keep yourself noticed in this upcoming New Year, here at Rap have what it takes to keep you standing out from the crowd.

Display stands, whether you pick a pop up banner stand, folding panel kit or a Jumbo display, you have the flexibility to use your display in many locations and more importantly, is a long term marketing tool. So if you are thinking of the New Year and new ways in which you can promote yourself, we have it covered.

When looking to use a display stand for advertising and marketing, be sure to pick a display which works closely with your brand image. Choose a display stand which will guarantee a visual impact targeted to your audience. Sometimes businesses will often choose to use a mix of either an exhibition and banner stand together for advertising their service or product, which prove to be not only cost effective but will certainly have a return on the original investment.

To really maximise a display stands potential, consider where it will be used, for example a small banner display stand may look out of place in a large exhibition hall, where rival competition are using a streamline exhibition display. However a pop up display stand can look great on a shop floor, or a smaller exhibition hall.

Streamline Display Stand

Here at Rap we can help guide you towards the best solution for whatever way you choose to present yourself this upcoming New Year. So if you are looking to attend events, trade shows, exhibitions or simply looking for a great new banner display for your reception area. We can give you the best advice, and we offer a huge range of products to ensure you create the best appearance possible.

Whilst we do have the ability to meet requirement quickly and efficiently, this does not mean that you will have to jeopardise on quality. Our in-house team are professional and take pride in the work which they produce, always ensuring that only the best quality leave our manufactures.

If you are unsure of what display is best suited to your business, pick up the phone and call us on 01733 394941 where our dedicated team can guide you on the best way to promote yourself this New Year!

All eyes on you!

If you have attended exhibitions in the pass you will know that exhibitions have the potential to offer a fantastic return on investment, but only if you know how to grab the interest of the visitors and have all eyes on you!

Making the most of your exhibition investment involves focusing on attracting those visitors to your stand. And whilst you have their attention you need to be able to entertain them. By getting this right you can expect new connections and plenty of new business leads.

However every stand at the exhibition will be trying to do the same. So how can you be sure to stand out? Your team play a fundamental part in this role. You need to make sure that prior to the show they are fully briefed with what is expected from them, give them targets and delegate ownership of the events you have lined up.

Once you have your visitors it’s important that you keep them interested. In order to achieve this you can hold workshops, give demonstrations on your products and services which you have to offer. And maybe a video in the background. Another great way to keep your visitors engaged is my giving away goody bags, sweets even a sample of your products. And by getting this step right, your visitors will remember you on how you made them feel, rather than the fact you was trying to sell to them.

Consulting in a design team such as the in-house design team at Rap, will help you create an irresistible, eye catching display and one which will be remembered. When attending exhibitions it is important that you are as prepared as possible, and with the help from our printed display stands you can be. Take a look at our 3×1 premier pop up stand: http://bit.ly/1MzY6iM It gives you printed graphic panels, pop up stand hardware and storage case. They look impressive don’t they? And from receipt of payment and artwork we can look to dispatch your premier pop up stand within 72 hours. They are easy to pop up within a matter of minutes, and with our hook over graphic panel attachment system, you can change and update your graphics throughout your exhibition with ease.

If you are seeking to transform your product or brand into a display which best reflects your image and targeted at your specific demographic, a 3×1 premier pop up stand is the one for you.
