Printing Specification Rap digitally print in house to an extremely high standard using pigment-based ink. This type of ink provides a water resistant and light fastness surface that with over lamination provides a scratch resistant surface.
Banner Stands Banner stands are printed on 240 micron stoplight film and are laminated with a 125 micron laminate, which gives the Banner good tear, crease and scratch resistant features and improves the life span of the product. The overall thickness is 365 microns.
Pop-up Stands Pop-up Displays are printed on 310 micron stoplight film and are laminated both sides with a 125 micron laminate, which gives the Pop-up graphic panel good tear, crease and scratch resistant features and improves the life span of the product. The overall thickness is 560 microns.
If you are designing your artwork for Pop-up displays please ensure that all guides are invisible. Also please be aware that if you are ordering replacement graphics for a Pop-up we cannot guarantee an exact match if a complete Pop-up is not ordered.
How to supply artwork For best results artwork should be sent over in either a high resolution PDF
The artwork needs to be sized at 25% of the finished graphic area (see product description) at a minimum of 300dpi without compression. All images should be originated or scanned at this size and not enlarged thereafter. Please be aware that images downloaded from the internet are not of a high enough resolutions and will probably pixelate when printed.
Essential - No bleed or crop marks are required when design your artwork. These will be added by our software when we RIP your artwork before sending to print.
Pantone/special colours, photographs or scans should be converted to CMYK with process separation and thoroughly checked before submission, as mistakes cannot be rectified after print.
PDF - when sending your file please ensure that it is a high resolution document.
Adobe InDesign - If you are designing your artwork in Adobe Indesign, please send through your file as an eps or high resolution PDF.
CMYK Printing of Solid Black Solid black is always an awkward colour to print, it is especially hard to produce consistency of tone, colour and depth, in order to achieve this please save files using the following:- Solid Black CMYK Break down 100 C 100 K 100 Y 100 M
How to upload artwork to our FTP
1 Click https://rapind-ftp1.iweb-ftp.co.uk to load the artwork upload screen!.
2 Enter the Username and Password:
Username: rapind-upload Password: d8ph72
3 To upload a file, click on browse and select the file from your computer. Click upload to send it to our FTP - you are done!
Multiple files:
To upload multiple files, click on Upload multiple files. This brings up a new window for the multiple upload. Select your files to upload or drag and drop into the multiple file box.
This web page may ask your browser to automatically install a Java plug-in (if the correct version is not already installed). Please disable pop up blockers for this new window. If your system does not support this auto installation procedure you may need to visit java.sun.com and download the latest version of Java.
